MLB betting market report: Daily picks, advice for Monday, June 13th

Ten games usher us into a new week on the diamond. The baseball has finally started to carry again. From Opening Day to May 13, teams batted .235/.308/.375 with a .302 wOBA. Since May 14, they are batting .249/.316/.410.

Ranger Suarez is the weak link in the Phillies rotation. He has a 4.40 ERA and walked four over 4 innings. The team needs to find a different fifth starter and put Suarez at the back end of the pen.

Ben and I talked about the Braves on last night's show. Atlanta has won 11 games in a row. They have the league's best bullpen. They play the Pirates on Monday.

Brewers/Nationals are struggling. Brandon Woodruff and Freddy Peralta are injured. The team is 24th in wOBA.

Dakota Hudson gave up six runs on nine hits over seven innings, but he saved the bullpen. The Cardinals nearly came back off of the Cincinnati bullpen, and the Reds offense, which leads the league in R/G at home, had a rare road-game explosion.

Giants won the three-game series against the Dodgers. San Francisco's defense was very bad. Walker Buehler has been out for three months.

German Marquez had a good start yesterday for the Rockies against the Padres. He went seven innings with two runs allowed on six hits. It was the third start in his last five with more curveballs than sliders. His sinker usage has spiked over the last three starts while throwing fewer fastballs.

A's/Guardians have won 11 of 14 games. They play three games at Colorado this week. Next they play 17 games against the Dodgers, Twins, Red Sox, and Yankees.

Ross Stripling has worked 11 scoreless innings since joining the Blue Jays/Tigers rotation. Tarik Skubal's velocity and spin rates were down.

Michael Kopech left the game with an injury. Yasmani Grandal also left hurt and Aaron Bummer has a strained lat.

Orioles and Royals are playing a series that featured 48 runs over four games. The Royals have a good bullpen and some bad starters.

Red Sox/Mariners went 8-2 on a West Coast swing with stops in Oakland, Anaheim and Seattle. Now they return home to face the A’s, Cardinals and Tigers. The last 14 games going into the All-Star Break are against the Rays and Yankees.

Mets won 4-1 against the Angels. Taijuan Walker struck out 10 over six innings and Patrick Sandoval had 20 swings and misses. Edwin Diaz struck all five batters in the save.

The weather is bad around the country. The MLB slate is minimally affected today. White Sox/Tigers is the most threatened. Braves/Nationals and Padres/Cubs have slight rain chances. Wind is blowing in a little from RF at Wrigley.

Marlins are playing the Phillies at home. The line is currently at minus 130.

Josiah Gray and the Nationals are favored to beat the Braves. Ian Anderson goes for Atlanta.

Reds are playing at Diamondbacks (-150, 8.5) on Monday, June 13th. The total has been moved down from 9. 5 to 8,5. Merrill Kelly made mechanical adjustments prior to his last start and pitched well against the Reds.

Twins are playing a series in the Pacific Northwest. Chris Flexen goes for the Mariners.

Aaron Nola has a 3.50 ERA with a 2.67 xERA and a3.24 FIP on the season. He has allowed six of his 10 home runs the third time through the order.

Monday's best bets are based on a market consensus number.

Padres are playing against the Cubs. The Padres have one of the best defensive teams in baseball. Yu Darvish will start for the Padres. Justin Steele has a poor record against left-handed hitters. The game should be low-scoring. Padres' bullpen has an ERA of 2.92 in the last 30 days. I'm tracking my picks in this spreadsheet HERE. It's a daily MLB betting market report.
