MLB final: Bullpen, bats seal 6-5 victory for Giants over Diamondbacks

Carlos Rodón has made two starts in Phoenix and both of them have gone badly. On July 4th he went 5 innings, allowing 4 runs on 5 hits and 2 walks while striking out 7. In Friday's game he was tagged for 4 on 4 hits, including a 2-out 2 run homer from a sheriff's deputy and part-time Diamondbacks rookie outfielder Stone Garrett. Rodon was pulled with one out in the 4 th and was responsible for 2 runners on base. San Francisco Giants bats kept them afloat in this one. Brandon Crawford, Austin Wynns, Brandon Villar, David Villars and J.D. Davis scored runs.

Giants won the MLB final 6-5 over Diamondbacks. Shelby Miller was the hero for the Giants. He was released by the Yankees in May and picked up by Giants in June. Miller is the 64th player used by a Giants team in 2022. He took over a tie ballgame in the 6th and left it with 2-outs in 8th. Alex Young picked the win. Camilo Doval stranded the tying run at second.
