MLB Playoffs: Braves, Padres strike back in NLDS Game 2

Wednesday was an off day for American League Division Series action. The Dodgers and Phillies are tied at 2-2 in their NLDS series.

Atlanta Braves beat Philadelphia Phillies 3-0 in Game 2 of the NLDS. The game was delayed by three hours due to heavy rain. Kyle Wright was outstanding, allowing just two hits and a walk while fanning six. Zack Wheeler had a scoreless streak of 11 innings, but he was caught out in the sixth.

The Braves won the NLDS Game 2 against the Phillies. Ronald Acuña Jr. was hit on the elbow and was taken to the hospital. Austin Riley, Travis d'Arnaud and Matt Olson scored for the Braves. The Phillies were blanked in a three-hit shutout.

San Diego Padres beat Los Angeles Dodgers 5-3 in Game 2 of the NLDS. The Padres are now tied in the series. They will play the next two games in San Diego. They play their first playoff games at Petco Park since 2006. There was also a goose in an outfield. It ruled. Josh Hader earned his first save of over three outs since 2020. He got the final four at Dodger Stadium on Wednesday night. For the rest of this series, the Padres will face the Philadelphia Phillies. Their first home game since they played at the PetCo Park in 2006, when they were playing in a tie.
