MLB The Show 22: The Good

MLB The Show 22 is coming to an end and the game is going to be released in a few months. This article focuses on the things I enjoyed about MLB The show 22 and later on I will talk about the problems with the series.

Diamond Dynasty is the main mode in MLB The Show 22. The content team never missed a beat in terms of giving players plenty to do in the game. Online modes like events, BR and ranked seasons had tons of regular content added to them.

This year's Diamond Dynasty game was amazing. The rewards were also amazing, especially the Chase Packs and Headliner’s Choice packs. This year's set of cards in Diamond Dons was the best we've seen in the game. New legends like Randy Johnson, Ryan Howard and Hank Aaron were introduced. The Legends of the Franchise and Fall Stars Featured Programs brought some of best cards we have ever seen.

Collections and card art in MLB The Show 22 were well done this year. The Live Series Collection always has at least one card that is going to last well into the endgame. Legends and Flashback collection rewards were great this time. Card art is great. The classic Topps card Art is fun to see. Cover Athlete Series saw the previous cover athletes use their actual cover for the card. David Ortiz’s Prime 99 OVR card was a must have for me.

This section is about the good things about MLB The Show 22 that the game did right this year. There were also some changes that were requested by the community. The game fixed the two-way player bug and improved the stamina recovery of pitchers. It also added new ways for players to earn rewards in online modes. The progression for the mode was changed so players no longer had to play Diamond Dynasty in order to progress in RTTS.

This year's MLB The Show 22 has some gameplay improvements compared to previous years. The main change to gameplay I liked was the addition of perfect throws when throwing to any base. I also enjoyed the change in pitching in that the PAR region would grow if you tried to throw breaking balls high in the zone.

Presentation in MLB The Show 22 was probably the best it has ever been in the series. The updated graphics looked great and didn't get old throughout the year. John “Boog Sciambi and Chris Singleton did a great job for it being their first year in this series and their commentary was relevant to the game.

This was the first time I watched the Summer and Fall Circuits tournaments for MLB The Show 22. I enjoyed them a lot.

MLB The Show 22 had a good year. Live content carried the series with regular updates and additions. Community requested fixes and changes to the presentation tried to breathe some life into the game. Let me know what you liked about MLB The show 22 in the comments.
