Mojo Star off the mark with perfect St Leger prep at Newbury

Mojo Star won the Academy Insurance British EBF Maiden Stakes at Newbury. Derby runner-up is preparing for the Cazoo St Leger at Doncaster next month. Masekela won Listed honours in the Denford Stake at the Newburys. He was trained by Andrew Balding. He has a couple of entries in Champagne Stages over seven furlongs at doncaster. The Royal Lodge over a mile might be preferred. It's probably the right distance. His previous start was a short-head defeat in Superlative Staking at NY. Bayside Boy took a narrow advantage in final furore, but Maseskeala fought back to win.
