Molinari: Where Are Penguins' Good Prospects? It's a Developing Story

Tom Kostopoulos has been appointed as Pittsburgh Penguins' new director of player development. Scott Young left the position to become Vancouver's director. Only two of 25 players drafted by Young have played in the NHL. The Pittsburgh Steelers have traded away most of their first-round draft picks in recent years. Sam Poulin was their only first round pick in last seven drafts. They have a player-development staff with only a few members. It's not fair to blame Young for the lack of NHL-qualified players. He didn't choose the players they drafted.
