National Championship Game TCU vs Georgia: Odds, Spread, and Point Total Prediction

The Horned Frogs continue to make history and prove doubters wrong, as they beat No.3 Michigan in the Fiesta Bowl Playoff game. As a result, the Horned Frogs have earned a trip to the College Football National Championship. TCU has made history as they were the first team from Texas to make the Playoff and the first team with a first-year head coach to make the Playoff. They have now added to that history by being the only Big 12 school to advance to the National Championship game. TCU is ranked No.3, and Georgia is ranked No.1 according to the final College Football Playoff rankings.

TCU took care of Michigan in the Fiesta Bowl, beating them 51-45. It was a really well-played game on TCU's end, and they came to show everyone that they belong. The Frogs will be coming into the National Championship Game with a 13-1 record. As For Georgia, they beat Ohio State 42-41 after Ohio State missed the game-winning field goal as time expired. The Bulldogs will come into the game undefeated. Will the Horned Frogs continue what they have done all season and be the first to beat the reigning champions? They are ready to show the nation that they can, but we will have to wait and see. The Frogs are set to play the Bulldogs in Inglewood, California, at SoFi Stadium on Monday, January 9, at 6:30 p.m. CDT/4:30 p.m. PST.

Oddsmakers have given Georgia the odds in this matchup, which is not a surprise because they are the number-one ranked team and have not been beaten. However, this Georgia team will be far different from any team they have seen. They are much more of a passing team compared to Michigan, so TCU will have to change their gameplay once again. The Horned Frogs have shown multiple times this year that they don't care about all the talking; they are only focused on their goals. I again believe you will see a far different TCU game plan to keep the Bulldogs on their heels. So expect this to be a close matchup. The oddsmakers have the over/under set at 62.5 points.

This game should be very exciting for both teams because they have not played each other since 2016 in the Liberty Bowl. TCU and Sonny Dykes want to continue to make the most out of their first College Football Playoff experience and win the National Championship. As for Georgia and Kirby Smart, they are looking to win the National Championship back-to-back years. Both teams have been preparing for this opportunity for a while. Georgia will be looking to shut down Max Duggan and TCU's high-powered offense. They will also be looking to throw the ball on TCU. As for TCU, they will look to slow down the Georgia passing game and force pressure on Stetson Bennett. Most people thought Sonny Dykes would bring success to this Horned Frogs team. However, I don't think anybody knew he would lead them to the National Championship in his first season.

Duggan is living a near-perfect story. He will compete in his last game as a Horned Frog to see if he can win a National Championship for TCU. Regardless of what happens, The Frogs have given us a dream season that hardly anybody saw coming. Thank you for everything!

The Frogs need to continue what they have done all season and stick to what they have practiced. However, they also need to be prepared for a whole different style of team because this Georgia team likes to throw the ball which is an entirely different offense compared to Michigan.

I want to thank each and every TCU player, especially the seniors. I hope and wish for the best on their journeys after college. Whether it be for them to play football in the NFL or pursue their career paths, one thing will always be certain; they will always be Horned Frogs! Now go show the nation who you are.

Betting Trends for both teams:

  • Georgia’s record against the spread is 7-7-0.
  • Georgia has an against the spread record of 6-6 as 13.5-point or greater favorites.
  • This season, six of Georgia’s 14 games have hit the over
  • TCU is 10-3-1 against the spread this year.
  • his year, eight of TCU’s 14 games have hit the over.

The pick: Georgia -13 Over/Under 62.5 points.
