NBA Betting Odds: Moneylines, Spreads & Totals (3/20/23)

NBA games are high-stakes affairs as spring approaches.

The best NBA betting sites offer many ways to wager on the NBA, including moneylines, spreads, and over/unders. Those are the traditional ways to bet on basketball. You can also wager on NBA futures.

Here’s a look at the NBA Games for Monday, March 20, 2023:

Pacers (32-39) vs. Hornets (22-50)

An All-Star point guard from each team will miss this matchup between two bottom-dwelling Eastern Conference teams. The Indiana Pacers have struggled without Tyrese Haliburton this season, holding just a 4-13 record in his absence. Still, Indiana has won three of its past four with its All-Star sidelined, including an impressive road win against the Milwaukee Bucks. Does this mean the Pacers have learned how to win when he’s not there?

Charlotte fans must be begging for the 2023 NBA Draft; it has been a rough season, and LaMelo Ball’s lower extremity injury has only worsened things. The Hornets have dropped four straight games, all of which were in front of their fans; they have limited weapons offensively, and the effort is at a minimum on the other end of the floor.

  • Start Time: 7:00 p.m. ET
  • Location: Spectrum Center (Charlotte, NC)

Betting Odds Summary

  • Spread: Pacers -2.5 (-110), Hornets +2.5 (-110)
  • Moneyline: Pacers -130, Hornets +110
  • Total: Over/Under 233.5 Points (-110/-110)

Bulls (33-37) vs. 76ers (48-22)

Philadelphia’s dominant second half of the 2022-23 season looks destined to continue against a Chicago team with some bad beats recently. The Sixers have won eight straight games, including massacres in their past two against Indiana and Charlotte. Furthermore, Joel Embiid is drawing closer to his first-ever MVP award, so his play against Nikola Vucevic, a below-average interior defender, should be motivated and efficient. Philly’s only player on the injury report is P.J. Tucker, who is questionable to suit up against Chicago.

Chicago’s season is not over, as it sits in 10th place, the last play-in spot in the Eastern Conference. The Bulls have shown impressive flashes throughout the season but have been unable to string it all together. Still, this team has won four of their past five, with the only loss coming on a game-winning shot from De’Aaron Fox. Lonzo Ball and Javonte Green cannot suit up for this matchup, while Alex Caruso is listed as day-to-day.

  • Start Time: 7:00 p.m. ET
  • Location: Wells Fargo Center (Philadelphia, PA)

Betting Odds Summary

  • Spread: Bulls +8.5 (-110), 76ers -8.5 (-110)
  • Moneyline: Bulls +205, 76ers -360
  • Total: Over/Under 225 Points (-110/-110)

Timberwolves (35-37) vs. Knicks (42-30)

Jalen Brunson is back for the New York Knicks after missing a handful of games in the past few weeks; his presence is vital for this Knicks team that seems to have the No. 5 seed in the Eastern Conference locked up. New York is in an excellent position to grab a win against the struggling Timberwolves, especially considering it has been a terrific road team all season. Furthermore, the Knicks should be completely healthy heading into this game.

Minnesota has dropped five of its past six games, often giving up clean looks on the defensive end during that stretch. While the Timberwolves remain in the playoff hunt, they must rack up some wins, or the organization might not bring back Karl Anthony-Towns this season. The Knicks are a solid team but have proven they are beatable on their home floor. Unfortunately, Minnesota has Naz Reid, Austin Rivers, Anthony Edwards, and Rudy Gobert all listed as questionable for this game.

  • Start Time: 7:30 p.m. ET
  • Location: Madison Square Garden (New York City, NY)

Betting Odds Summary

  • Spread: Timberwolves +8.5 (-110), Knicks -8.5 (-110)
  • Moneyline: Timberwolves +290, Knicks -350
  • Total: Over/Under 228 Points (-110/-110)

Warriors (36-36) vs. Rockets (18-53)

Will the Warriors’ road struggles continue, even against the Houston Rockets? Golden State has not won a road game since January and boasts the third-worst winning percentage away from Chase Center this season. Despite a recent 50-point outburst (20-28 shooting) from Steph Curry against the Clippers, the Dubs still could not secure a win. Unfortunately, there is no immediate fix to this, as Andrew Wiggins will still be out due to personal reasons, and their defense has been abysmal.

Believe it or not, Houston has won three of its past four games, including against the Celtics, Lakers, and Pelicans. The Rockets were riding one of the longest losing streaks in the NBA before snapping out of it and resembling a coherent professional team. Kevin Porter Jr has been particularly impressive in the past four games, averaging close to 22 points, seven assists, and six rebounds per game.

  • Start Time: 8:00 p.m. ET
  • Location: Toyota Center (Houston, TX)

Betting Odds Summary

  • Spread: Warriors -11 (-110), Rockets +11 (-110)
  • Moneyline: Warriors -645, Rockets +480
  • Total: Over/Under 237.5 Points (-110/-110)

Mavericks (36-35) vs. Grizzlies (43-27)

After a sobering loss to the LeBron-less Los Angeles Lakers on the road roughly two weeks ago and a plethora of off-the-court issues, the Memphis Grizzlies seem to have tightened things up again, rattling off wins in five of their following six. Memphis will be without Steven Adams, Brandon Clarke, and Ja Morant again but should be healthy besides them, as long as Jaren Jackson Jr (questionable) gives it a go.

After minor injuries to Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving, the Dallas Mavericks have found themselves in an even more challenging position than before; they are sixth in the Western Conference and only 1.5 games ahead of 11th place. Doncic and Irving are questionable ahead of this game, so keep an eye on the injury report leading up to game time. Dallas will need Irving and Doncic to be at 100% health for this last stretch if it wants to secure a playoff birth.

  • Start Time: 8:00 p.m. ET
  • Location: FedEx Forum (Memphis, TN)

Betting Odds Summary

  • Spread: Mavericks +3 (-110), Grizzlies -3 (-110)
  • Moneyline: Mavericks +120, Grizzlies -140
  • Total: Over/Under 229.5 Points (-110/-110)

Kings (43-27) vs. Jazz (34-36)

Sacramento’s impressive season continues on the road in Utah on Monday night. The Kings have won seven-straight road games, evidencing their maturity and poise away from home; they actually have a better winning percentage on the road. Trey Lyles and Kevin Huerter have questionable designations before this game. Hopefully, they can play and extend Sacramento’s road streak to eight.

Utah’s playoff hopes are slowly dwindling, as it has been bumped to 11th place in the Western Conference, despite winning three of its past four games. The Jazz can still make the play-in games, but with Los Angeles and Oklahoma City playing much-improved ball and Minnesota set to return Karl Anthony-Towns in the next week or two, they have an uphill battle. Collin Sexton and Jordan Clarkson will miss another game, while Lauri Markkanen is questionable. If Markkanen cannot play, it is difficult seeing the Jazz winning this game.

  • Start Time: 9:00 p.m. ET
  • Location: Vivint Arena (Salt Lake City, UT)
  • Spread: Kings -5 (-110), Jazz +5 (-110)
  • Moneyline: Kings -205, Jazz +175
  • Total: Over/Under 239.5 Points (-110/-110)
