NBA parlay picks Feb. 25: Bet on Clippers to cover against Kings

An 11-game NBA slate is full of intriguing matchups and parlay potential.

The pregame narrative: The Los Angeles Clippers are largely healthy and at home, making them my pick to cover against an inconsistent Sacramento Kings squad. The under between the Charlotte Hornets and Portland Trail Blazers seems like a wise wager, as does the Utah Jazz team total over.

NBA oddsas of 10:19 a.m. on 02/25/2024.

NBA parlay picks

Parlay: Clippers -6.5 + Hornets vs. Trailblazers under 219.5 points + Jazz over 123.5 points (+452)

Clippers -6.5 (-108): Only Norman Powell (questionable, ankle sprain) finds his name on Los Angeles' injury report for Sunday.

This is one of the best rosters in the NBA when healthy. The Clippers rank fourth in offensive efficiency (117.4) and they should be able to score plenty against a weak Kings defence.

Sacramento places 21st in defensive efficiency (114.6) and the team has allowed 120-plus points in three of its last four contests.

Los Angeles places a respectable 10th in defensive efficiency (111.5), and it's ability to win at both ends of the court makes it a strong pick to cover.

The Clippers are a respectable 14-12 against the spread at home this season.

Other parlay picks

Hornets vs. Trail Blazers under 219.5 points (-205): Two poor offences riddled with injuries shouldn't produce many points.

LaMelo Ball (ankle) remains out for Charlotte and his absence severely dampens the team's offensive outlook.

The Hornets rank a putrid 27th in offensive rating (107.6).

Portland is even worse offensively, placing 29th in offensive rating (105.8).

The Trail Blazers are missing a laundry list of players for this game, too. Scoot Henderson, Shaedon Sharpe and Malcolm Brogdon all remain out.

The under has hit in 53.6% of Portland games this season.

Jazz over 123.5 points (-122): Utah doesn't come to mind when discussing the NBA's offensive juggernauts, but it's capable of lighting it up against a poor Spurs team.

The Jazz place 16th in offensive efficiency (113.3) and are averaging a respectable 117.8 points per game.

They're poised to have a better than average day against San Antonio. The Spurs sit 24th in defensive efficiency (115.9) and 25th in opponent points per game (120.6).

They've allowed 120-plus points in four of their last six games.
