NBA picks: Celtics vs. Raptors prediction, odds, over/under, spread, injury report for Friday, Nov. 17

Brown, Porzingis and Horford are all in for the Celtics. Boston is still a heavy favorite, now by 9.5 points instead of 8.5. The total is at 224.5. We still like the Celtics to cover at the new number and our over pick on the total also doesn’t change.

The NBA In-Season Tournament resumes tonight with East Group C action as the Boston Celtics hit the road to battle the Toronto Raptors. Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET.

Boston (9-2) has ripped off four straight victories heading into tonight’s matchup and are currently tied with the Nuggets for the league’s best record. The Celtics are coming off a 117-107 win over the 76ers on Wednesday, a tight game where they managed to pull away late. Meanwhile, Toronto (5-6) is looking to get back to .500 after suffering a 128-112 setback against the Bucks on Wednesday. The Raptors were outgunned on offense, shooting just 39.6% to Milwaukee’s 51.8%

On the injury front, Jaylen Brown (illness) and Kristaps Porzingis (knee) both missed Wednesday’s game for Boston and are listed as questionable for tonight. Al Horford is dealing with a toe sprain, but is probable for this game. For Toronto, OG Anunoby has missed the last two games with a right finger laceration and is doubtful for tonight.

Boston enters the game as an 8.5-point favorite at DraftKings Sportsbook, accompanied by a total of 224. The Celtics are a -340 moneyline favorite, making the Raptors a +270 underdog.

Celtics vs. Raptors, 7:30 p.m. ET

Pick ATS: Celtics -8.5

Boston just obliterated this same Toronto team by 23 points last Saturday and I expect a another big victory this evening. The Celtics are on a tear and even with Brown and Porzingis banged up, they should be able to handle this Raptors team comfortably and pick up their fifth straight victory.

Over/Under: Over 224

Toronto has been an inconsistent offensive team so far this season as some nights, it’s a struggle to crack 100 points. I think the Raptors have a decent showing at home this evening and their performance combined with a strong Celtics offense will lead to the over being cashed tonight.
