NBA picks: Kings vs. 76ers prediction, odds, over/under, spread, injury report for Friday, Jan. 12

Two playoff hopefuls will face off Friday evening as the Sacramento Kings (23-14) visit the Philadelphia 76ers (23-13). The Kings have won two in a row, while the 76ers are hoping to snap a three-game losing streak. This is the first meeting between these teams this season.

Kevin Huerter is listed as questionable for the Kings after suffering an ankle injury in the last game. Joel Embiid remains out for the 76ers, missing the seventh game of Philadelphia’s last nine. Robert Covington is also out for Philly.

This game is a pick ‘em at DraftKings Sportsbook, with the total coming in at 241. Both teams are even on the moneyline at -110.

Even though they don’t have Embiid, the Sixers are good enough with Tyrese Maxey to be considered even with the Kings at full strength. However, Sacramento has been rolling of late after getting off to a slow start, winning six of its last eight games.

The Kings are 5-1 ATS in those six wins, and have an 11-6 ATS mark as the road team. With Embiid once again sidelined, Sacramento is the pick in this one.

Sacramento is 18-17-2 on overs this season, largely because the totals are set so high to account for this high-powered offense. The Kings have gone over their totals in just two of the last five games, but have also had two pushes during that span. The 76ers are 22-14 to the over this season, but have gone over the total just once in their last five. Despite these trends, I think there’s plenty of offense on display tonight to push this total over 241.
