NBA picks: Suns vs. Lakers prediction, odds, over/under, spread, injury report for Thursday, Jan. 11

We have an interesting Western Conference showdown to look forward to this evening as the Phoenix Suns hit the road to battle the Los Angeles Lakers. Tipoff is set for 10 p.m. ET and the game will air on TNT.

Phoenix (19-18) fell short against the other LA team on Monday, falling to the Clippers in a 138-111 blowout. The Suns trailed by just seven in the fourth quarter before a a 19-2 run by the Clips buried them. Meanwhile, Los Angeles (19-19) has won two straight and just edged the Raptors in a 132-131 nail-biter on Tuesday. Anthony Davis came up big with 41 points, 11 rebounds, and six assists and he drained two late free throws to give the Lakers some cushion at the end.

On the injury front, Davis (ankle) is listed as probable while LeBron James (ankle) and Cam Reddish (face) are listed as questionable. Rui Hachimura (calf) is listed as doubtful and could miss his fifth straight game.

This game is a pick ‘em on the spread at DraftKings Sportsbook, accompanied by a total of 238.5. The moneyline is also a pick ‘em with both teams listed at -110.

Suns vs. Lakers, 10 p.m. ET

Pick ATS: Suns pk

It hasn’t been a good week for the Suns with them dropping three of their last four contests. They are 0-2 against this Lakers team this year, but I think they’ll be able to take advantage of Davis and James being a little nicked up heading into this showdown. Give me Phoenix to prevail.

Over/Under: Under 238.5

LA home unders have been the move this season with the team sporting a 7-11 O/U record at Crypto.com Arena this season. The last matchup between the Suns and Lakers ended with a 106-103 final score and while I don’t anticipate the total going that low again, I’ll still take the under for tonight.
