NBA Player Props Today – Wednesday, November 1

Cunningham Over/Under 6.5 Assists

In his lone home game this season, Cunningham had 10 assists and 18 potential assists against the Chicago Bulls. His 18 potential assists were the most of any player who was in action that day. Last season, Cunningham averaged 7.5 assists per game at home compared to 4.5 assists per game on the road. In his rookie season, he averaged 6.2 assists per game at home compared to 4.8 assists per game on the road. Cunningham is undeniably the top facilitator for the Detroit Pistons, averaging 4.5 potential assists per game more than Killian Hayes, who is second on the team in that category. Cunningham and the Pistons get a favorable matchup at home on Wednesday against a Portland Trail Blazers team that ranks 22nd in defensive efficiency and 20th in opponent assists allowed per game so far this season. This is one of the best looks on the board for tonight’s slate.

  • PICK: Cunningham OVER 6.5 Assists (+112), Caesars

Simmons Over/Under 17.5 Rebounds + Assists

The market continues to incrementally adjust to the Ben Simmons renaissance season, but this market number is still too low with Nic Claxton ruled out for Wednesday’s contest against the Miami Heat. Simmons has totaled at least 18 rebounds + assists in each of his three games this season and played a season-high 35 minutes on Monday against the Charlotte Hornets. Entering play on Wednesday, Simmons is averaging 13.3 rebound chances and a team-leading 13.3 potential assists per game. He is Brooklyn’s leading rebounder and leading facilitator through three games and gets to face a Miami team that ranks 20th in defensive efficiency, 28th in rebound percentage, and 14th in opponent assists per game to begin the season. We will keep riding this play until Simmons lets us down!

  • PICK: Simmons OVER 17.5 Rebounds + Assists (-115), DraftKings

Ball More/Less Than 19.5 Points

Ball is off to a disastrous start to the new campaign, averaging only 14.3 points on 25% shooting from the floor through three games. He had his worst game of the young season on Monday evening, fouling out against the Brooklyn Nets in only 22 minutes of action. On Wednesday, he gets a chance to redeem himself against the Houston Rockets, who rank 26th in defensive efficiency, 18th in opponent field goal percentage, and 26th in opponent 3-point attempts allowed per game so far this season. Ball averaged 22.6 points per game on the road last season and 23.3 points per game overall. He is in dire need of a good game and has a great opportunity to get back in a groove in this spot against a defense that just allowed 24 points to Stephen Curry and a combined 11-for-24 shooting from beyond the arc to the Splash Brothers.

  • PICK: Ball THAN 19.5 Points
