Neasham colt out of Exile with maiden victory

Swiss Exile won the Group 2 Spirit Of Boom Classic at Eagle Farm on Saturday. He broke his maiden in impressive fashion. Jockey Sam Clipperton was able to take up a position early and hold off a fast-finishing Exo Lady. Zaaki warmed up for his Doomben Cup defence by galloping around Eagle Farms between races. He is the $1.50 favourite to defend the title he won last year.

Neasham colt out of Exile has won his first race.

Swiss Exile won the Spirit of Boom Classic. Chris Waller's journeyman horse Yonkers won Group 3 Chairman's Handicap earlier in the day. Clipperton compared Eagle Farm's fast-drying surface to that of Sha Tin's in Hong Kong.

Ranch Hand won the 3YO Plate at Eagle Farm on Saturday. Chris Waller will talk to the owners about running him in the Stradbroke Handicap. Ranch Hand has a chequered career as he has never found the right distance.

Jamie Kah rode Diamil to victory in the Listed Members' Handicap at Eagle Farm. It was her first return to Eagle farm since her Kingsford-Smith Cup victory on Vega One last year.
