New York Sports Betting Rebounds in August with NFL Bump on the Horizon
New York's online sports betting handle increased in August. The state's mobile bookmakers handled $872.2 million in bets. GGR jumped from $73.3 million to $99.6 million. The receipts from mobile sports bets worked out to an 11.4% hold for the books in the state.
New York's sports betting revenue increased in August. The numbers are expected to rise further in September with the start of the NFL's regular season. The gaming commission reports a $1.6 billion handle from mobile wagering in the first three months of this year.
FanDuel, DraftKings and Caesars Sportsbook are the top three online sportsbooks in New York. FanDue took $374.6 million in August. Draft Kings took almost $244 million and GGR of $46.5 million. Caeresars took about $117 million for the month.
