New York Yankees vs. Pittsburgh Pirates: Series Preview

The Yankees have started their long road trip with a loss against the Houston Astros and a win in Cleveland against Guardians. They have their first interleague game today in Pittsburgh against Pirates. Pirates are one of the worst teams in the National League, ranking last in runs per game (3.68) and 11th in allowed per games (5.15).

Jameson Taillon is looking to bounce back from a rough outing against the Toronto Blue Jays on June 18th. He's probably not going to make the All-Star Game, but he's going up against José Quintana tonight. Quintane has been effective recently with the Pirates, going six innings in his last two starts.

Luis Severino has lost both of his last starts against the Houston Astros. The Pirates haven't announced their starter for Wednesday's game yet. Mitch Keller is the betting favorite to start for the Yankees. Keller has a 5.14 ERA in 15 games (13 starts) and a career 5 577 ERA. He has kept opposing batters to a .654 OPS in his previous seven starts.
