Newcastle races: Brad Davidson’s tips and extended preview, The Hunter

Sacred Command is in a nice race at Benhamark 78 Handicap (1600m). Cisco Bay has had a freshen and should run well. Ma And Pa is going well but looks too short here.

R3: TAB HIGHWAY (1300m). Casino Kid has been getting home well and 1300m on a run on style track suits him here. Ceasefire has the best figures for this and runs well. Raoul will have admirers too.

R5: BENCHMARK 88 HANDICAP (1850m). Mightybeel is progressing the right way. Shibli was a good winner last weekend and looks a great chance again. Milk Man has won two straight and will have admirers here.

Kiss The Bride ran well from the back last start and can settle closer here. Shared Ambition is well graded here, while Hush Writer went too hard on speed last time.

Lease has had a tough time recently but is still a good contender in R7: 3YO SPRING STAKES (1600m). Contributingfactor and Kokoro are two lightly raced horses doing good things. Dufresne and Festival Dancer both have claims.

The Hunter is the R8 race at Newcastle. Lost And Running has a horrible draw but is flying. Top Ranked brings some good formlines from overseas. Bandersnatch is a horse that has some really good figures for this race.
