Newsboy's horseracing tips for Wednesday's four meetings, including Ayr Nap

Newsboy reckons his nap, Grand Voyage, can sail home in the 3.00 at Ayr, and he also fancies Noisy Night to score at Kempton

Stuart Coltherd should enjoy his trip from the Borders to Ayr with GRAND VOYAGE (3.00), who is taken to score his second chase success in the 2m 5f Weatherbys Cheltenham Festival Betting Guide Handicap Chase.

A two-time winner over hurdles at the end of last term, the seven-year-old has shown plenty of promise this season over the bigger obstacles.

After being beaten half a length when headed in the closing stages on his chasing debut, he scored his first chase win over the same course in November.

He probably found the 2m 7f trip a bit too far next time out at Kelso, but his last effort over Christmas was a decent effort when three-lengths third at Wetherby.

The four-year-old won three on the bounce on this course as a two-year-old, and after a lengthy absence of more then 14 months, returned to action over six furlongs at Newcastle. He finished a head second to Pockley that day, giving the winner lumps of weight.

Harry and Roger Charlton’s gelding was last seen finishing third in a Newcastle handicap over seven furlongs, running on late in the race, so this extra furlong trip should suit him.
