NFF Presidency: Akinwunmi, Emeruwa Uchegbulam Schemed Out, Ogba, Anyansi-Agwu Battle For 1st VP Slot
The Electoral Committee released the list of cleared candidates for the NFF Presidential election on Monday, September 12. The election is scheduled for September 30 in Benin, Edo State capital. There are 10 candidates, 6 Northerners and 4 Southerners. The 1st Vice President position has been "zoned" to the South-East region. Three Southeastern candidates have been schemed out of the presidential race. Sports reporter Osasu Obayiuwaana believes political deals have already been done. He believes it would be easier for a carmel to pass through the eye of a needle than for any of these four Southern candidates.
