NFL Betting Predictions: Week 1 Opening Line Report and Picks

The Cincinnati Bengals are coming off a dramatic Super Bowl run. The Steelers are seven months removed from their dramatic win in the Superbowl. Bengals were 9-1 ATS last season when they scored more than 23 points a game. Steelers averaged 20.1 points per game last year.

The Lions beat the Eagles 44-6 last year. Oddsmakers and bettors believe that the Lions will be more competitive this year, but the team has made many changes and additions. Philadelphia has added one of the biggest game changers in the NFL in A.J. Brown and has a better offense this season. Detroit has had issues turning over the ball and stopping the run last season, so they are not a team I like for the game in Week 1.

Arizona Cardinals and Kyler Murray have a history of winning the first seven games of the season. Last year the Cardinals won 9-2 ATS and the Chiefs went 10-10. The Cardinals scored over 21 points per game last season and they went 9,2, while the Kansas City Chiefs gave up 22.4 points a game. Arizona will play the home opener against the team that won the last two games against them.

The Chicago Bears and San Francisco 49ers will play each other in the first game of the NFL season. The 49er's offense was one game away from the Super Bowl last season, while the Bears lost their best wide receiver in Allen Robinson. Chicago's defense will be tested by the 49's offensive line.

The 49ers are the favorite to beat the Rams in the first game of the season.
