NFL Contract Incentives and Statistical Milestones: Stats to Watch as Season Comes to a Close

There's plenty of money to be made in NFL prop betting as players like Patrick Mahomes come close to milestones and lucrative incentives. Last season a few players got some extra looks over the final few weeks because of these powerful enticements. This year should be no different with plenty on the line.

Justin Fields needs 207 yards to break Lamar Jackson's single-season rushing record of 1,206 yards for a quarterback. Fields is averaging 76.9 rushing yards per game. He will play the Buffalo Bills, Detroit Lions and Minnesota Vikings over the final three weeks of the season.

Patrick Mahomes needs 327.3 yards per game to break Peyton Manning's single-season record of 5,477 passing yards. The Chiefs play at home vs. Seattle Seahawks and Denver Broncos before the game in Las Vegas. Mahome has already dropped 644 passingyards vs the Broncos and Raiders this year.

Justin Herbert needs 79 completions to break Tom Brady's single-season record of 485. Herbert's current pace of 29 complements per game puts him nine completers over Brady’s record. The record is also a single season record that lines up with Herbert's completion market that closed at 27.5 in Week 1.

Justin Jefferson needs 342 receiving yards to break Calvin Johnson's single-season receiving yard record of 1,964. The Minnesota wideout needs to average 114 yards per game over the final three games of the season. He will play the New York Giants, Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears.

Patrick Mahomes is a four-time Pro Bowler and is currently the favorite to win the AFC Championship Game for the third time since 2019. He will earn $1.25 million if he wins his second NFL MVP award this season.

Adam Thielen will receive a $666,666 bump to his 2022 salary if he tops 1,375 yards this season. He's topped that ambitious total just once in his career and presently has 66 in 2022.

JuJu Smith-Schuster has been making the most of the hefty incentives in his contract this season. He has already earned an additional $1.5 million for topping 40, 50, and 65 receptions and an extra $ 1 million if he surpasses 500 and 650 yards. Smith Schuster is 50 yards away from unlocking an further $500,000 if his receiving yards surpass 900 this year. The Chiefs take on the Seahawks on Christmas Eve.

Taysom Hill is owed $500,000 if he surpasses 3,250 yards, $ 500,00 if achieves a 90+ passer rating, and $750, 000 if finishes with 25+ passing touchdowns. Hill also owes $1 million if completes 65% or more of his passes with a minimum of 224 attempts.

Hill has attempted just 17 passes for 216 yards and two touchdowns this season.

T.Y. Hilton hasn't played since 2021. He will receive an additional $50,000 for each regular season game he is on the team's 46-man roster.
