Monday night’s AFC clash between the Cincinnati Bengals and host Jacksonville Jaguars brings NFL Week 13 to a close. Kickoff from EverBank Stadium is scheduled for 8:15 p.m. ET on ABC and ESPN.

After a four-game midseason win streak, the Bengals (5-6) have hit the skids again with three consecutive losses.

Star QB Joe Burrow suffered a season-ending wrist injury in Week 11, and the inexperienced Jake Browning has taken over the controls. The former University of Washington standout threw 19-of-26 for 227 yards, a TD and an interception last Sunday in his first career start — a 16-10 home loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Browning isn’t getting much help from Cincy’s league-worst ground game (75.8 yards per game) or 31st-ranked defense (389.3 total yards surrendered per outing).

It’s been almost the exact opposite for the AFC South-leading Jaguars (8-3), who have reeled off seven wins in their last eight games to move into serious AFC No. 1 seed consideration.

Behind QB Trevor Lawrence and talented pass-rusher Josh Allen, Jacksonville ranks 12th in both scoring (23.1 points per game) and scoring defense (20.5 points allowed).

As a result, the Jags are one of the heaviest favorites on the Week 13 board, laying a consensus of 8.5 points. Monday’s game total is hovering around 39 points.

We’ll go against the grain and back a prime-time game over here.

Browning has been far from a disaster so far, and with the expected return of Tee Higgins, he has the weapons to exploit a Jacksonville secondary permitting the fifth-most passing yards (255) per game.

Meanwhile, Lawrence and Co. should certainly be able to put up points against an underwhelming Bengals defense, which is giving up an average of 22 points per outing.

Lawrence is averaging 249.6 aerial yards per game and has thrown for 262 or more in three of his last four outings.

On Monday night, he faces a Cincinnati defense surrendering the eighth-most passing yards (264.8) per game to opposing QBs.
