NHL approves agreement between San Jose Sharks, Evander Kane
The San Jose Sharks and Evander Kane have reached an agreement regarding the termination of his contract. The NHL and the Players' Association approved the terms. Kane was suspended for 21 games last season for violating the COVID-19 Protocol. He was sent to the American Hockey League's San Francisco Barracuda. In December, he traveled to Vancouver. This allowed the Sharks to terminate his deal and he signed with the Edmonton Oilers. The agreement is expected to be multi-million dollar and retroactively apply to his 2021-22 cap hit. It will be the longest stay with one team in his career.
