NHL Odds: Kings-Avalanche prediction, odds and pick
The Los Angeles Kings take on the Colorado Avalanche in the Mile High City. Los Angles have won five of their last six games. Colorado has seven players on injury list and lost to the Coyotes on Tuesday. The Kings came away with a 4-2 victory over the top team in Western Conference, the Vegas Golden Knights.
The Kings are on a winning streak and are now four points clear of Golden Knights in the Pacific Division. They play the defending champions Colorado in a game tonight. The most important aspect for Los Angeles will be their defensive effort. Rookie Pheonix Copley has been a revelation in goal for the Kings this season. He is 7-1 with a .912 save percentage in his eight starts.
The Avalanche are hoping to cover the spread against the Kings. Nathan MacKinnon is getting closer to returning to the team. Alexandar Georgiev needs to be more comfortable in goal for the Avs. Mikko Rantanen has been the only bright spot for a team that is struggling. The Avions have the fourth-most goals scored in the NHL with 24. They have a top-five power-play unit led by Cale Makar.
