NHL parlay picks Feb. 22: Bet on Hurricanes ending Panthers' win streak in +536 play

Three moneyline bets make up today's NHL parlay.

The pregame narrative: The Florida Panthers have won six straight but the Carolina Hurricanes are also red hot. I'm backing the latter to win and am also taking the New York Islanders and Vancouver Canucks.

NHL oddsas of 11:31 a.m. on 02/22/2024.

NHL parlay picks

Parlay: Hurricanes moneyline + Islanders moneyline + Canucks moneyline (+536)

Hurricanes moneyline (-121): The Panthers are on a six-game heater and have won nine of their past 10 games. That's impressive, but the Hurricanes are right there with an 8-2-0 record over their last 10.

Carolina has dominated play with a league-best 60.6% even-strength chance share during that span, according to Natural Stat Trick. Florida ranks fourth at 53.8% in the same window.

Both teams are playing great hockey but I'll give the edge to the home team. The Hurricanes are 18-6-4 at PNC Arena this season with a plus-20 goal differential.

Other picks

Islanders moneyline (-113): The St. Louis Blues have been a pleasant surprise this year but cracks are beginning to show.

They've lost three of their past four games and are second-to-last in even-strength chance share (42.73%) over their past 10 games. St. Louis has relied on stellar play from Jordan Binnington to remain competitive and I'm not willing to put my eggs in that basket tonight.

The Islanders have been on shaky ground lately but have still won three of their past six games, beating the Toronto Maple Leafs and Tampa Bay Lighting while forcing the red-hot New York Rangers to overtime.

Canucks moneyline (-120): Vancouver has lost three straight but this is a great bounce-back spot.

The Seattle Kraken are the definition of average. They're 23-22-11 this season and have an 11-9-5 record at home. That means opponents have cashed the moneyline in 56.0% of games at Climate Pledge Arena.

The Canucks still lead the league in points (80) and are far more talented than tonight's opponents. Vancouver has four different players with 50-plus points while Seattle has none with more than 41.

Getting Vancouver at -120 seems like a steal.
