NHL parlay picks Jan. 26: Take the Golden Knights to cover, Avalanche to win

While there are only four NHL games on tonight, that’s still enough to build a three-leg parlay.

The pregame narrative: The Vegas Golden Knights should keep things close on the road against the New York Rangers. The Colorado Avalanche are looking to stay hot against the Los Angeles Kings, while the Florida Panthers and Pittsburgh Penguins are set for a low-scoring affair.

NHL oddsas of 9:23 a.m. on 01/26/2024.

NHL parlay picks

Parlay: Golden Knights +1.5+ Panthers vs. Penguins under 6 goals + Avalanche moneyline (+395)

Golden Knights +1.5(-195): Vegas has performed well against the puck line as underdogs lately.

The Golden Knights have covered this number in their last four games, winning three outright. That includes when these two teams met last week, where Vegas won 5-1 at home.

In contrast, the Rangers have struggled to cover as favourites recently. New York is 2-7 against the puck line in the last nine games in which they were favoured, according to Scores and Odds.

Part of the Rangers' recent challenges have stemmed from goaltending, as they rank last in the NHL for team save percentage over the last 10 games (.869). New York is 3-5-2 over that stretch and is allowing 3.2 goals per game.

Additionally, Vegas has dominated this matchup over the last 10 meetings, boasting a 7-3 record and outscoring the Rangers 27-11 over those seven victories. In what should be a close matchup between two top teams in the NHL, expect the Golden Knights to cover.

Other parlay picks

Panthers vs. Penguins under 6 goals(-106): Both Florida and Pittsburgh have been involved in plenty of low-scoring games this season.

The under is 18-28-1 in Panthers games this season, and 17-24-3 in Penguins games. Over these two teams' last 10 meetings, the under for this number is 3-5-1.

Pittsburgh has struggled to produce offence as a team this year despite productive seasons from their top players. The Penguins are averaging just 2.9 goals per game, which is the 10th-lowest average in the NHL.

While Florida has experienced fewer issues on offence this year, it's scoring at a below-average rate recently. The Panthers average 3.2 goals per game on the season, but have only managed 2.7 over their last 10 games.

Avalanche moneyline (-150): Colorado has won two straight and is looking for a third against Los Angeles tonight.

The Avalanche have been thriving on offence as Nathan MacKinnon continues to dominate on a nightly basis. Colorado has outscored opponents 28-13 over its last five wins, and MacKinnon has 21 points in his last 10 games.

Los Angeles, on the other hand, has lost four of its last five games and managed to score only nine goals over that span. The Kings' offence has dried up lately, averaging just 2.4 goals per game over their last 15 games.

Colorado has also performed better at home this season, holding a 19-5-0 record at Ball Arena, compared to 12-9-3 on the road.
