NHL parlay picks Jan. 4: Bet on Jets, Canucks to win on the road

Two Canadian NHL teams crack our parlay for what'll be a busy Thursday night on the ice.

The pregame narrative: The Columbus Blue Jackets are playing better as of late and should be able to hang in against the Philadelphia Flyers. The Vancouver Canucks and Winnipeg Jets continue to be two of the best teams in Canada, making both quality moneyline picks.

NHL oddsas of 10:54 a.m. on 01/04/2024.

NHL parlay picks

Parlay: Blue Jackets +1.5 + Canucks moneyline + Jets 60-minute moneyline (+368)

Blue Jackets +1.5 (-159): Columbus is going to give you a stinker every once in a while but the team has been largely competitive this season.

The Blue Jackets have been the fourth-most profitable team on the puck line this season (+6.82), according to Scores and Odds. They boast a 24-15 record while serving largely as underdogs.

That success can be seen in their recent play. Yes, they're coming off a 4-1 loss to the Boston Bruins but they've covered this spread in 13 of their last 20 outings.

Columbus' path to victory, or at the very least keeping this close, is scoring. The team's tied for a respectable 16th in goals per game (3.08) this year while the Flyers are tied for 24th (2.92).

Other parlay picks

Canucks moneyline (-136): Vancouver moneyline continues to come out at surprisingly low prices.

Bettors who have continued to tail this team, however, have been rewarded. The Canucks have the second-best moneyline win rate (24-13, 65%) and have been the most profitable puck line squad (+14.55).

They battle the St. Louis Blues and hold a scoring and goaltending edge over their opponent. Vancouver has a better team save percentage (.915 vs. .898) and goals per game mark (3.84 vs. 2.89) than St. Louis.

Jets 60-minute moneyline (-155): Winnipeg continues to roll despite missing top goalscorer Kyle Connor.

The Jets have earned at least one point in nine consecutive games, winning seven of them outright. Getting it done on the road hasn't been an issue for them as they boast a 10-4-2 record as visitors this season.

Any time, any place, the San Jose Sharks have been a disaster this year. They're a rough 6-10-2 at home and enter this contest on a nine-game losing streak overall.

The league's worst offence (2.05) will struggle to score against a Winnipeg team that places third in team save percentage (.915).
