NHL parlay picks March 16: Bet on Canucks, Oilers to win in +308 parlay

Saturday's NHL parlay picks centre around the three late games.

The pregame narrative: The Nashville Predators and Seattle Kraken likely won't score much, making the under my preferred play. I'm rounding up this ticket by picking the Edmonton Oilers and Vancouver Canucks to win.

NHL oddsas of 2:21 p.m. on 03/16/2024.

NHL parlay picks

Parlay: Predators vs. Kraken under 6.5 goals + Oilers moneyline + Canucks moneyline (+308)

Predators vs. Kraken under 6.5 goals (-167): The total for this game is sitting at a lowly 5.5 goals and I'm adding a little extra insurance for this wager.

The Kraken rank 28th in goals per game (2.71) and have the 11th-best under percentage (53.9%), according to Scores and Odds.

Seattle is running a clinic on how to play low-event hockey. The team has gone under this number in five of its last seven contests, averaging 4.7 total goals per game in those outings.

Nashville hasn't been giving opposing teams much during its hot streak. The Predators have held 10 of their last 13 opponents to two goals or fewer.

The under on this total has cashed in eight of Nashville's last 11 games.

Other parlay picks

Oilers moneyline (-132): Edmonton hosts the Colorado Avalanche, and the venue is key to this game.

The Oilers are an impressive 21-8-2 on home ice this season. They've won four consecutive games at Rogers Place.

The Avalanche haven't been a very effective road team. They have more losses (19) than wins (16) as visitors this season.

These teams are evenly matched but I give Edmonton's defence a slight edge. The Oilers boast the fifth-best expected goals against mark (2.84), according to Natural Stat Trick. The Avs, on the other hand, sit a much lower 16th (3.03) in the category.

Canucks moneyline (-225): Thirdly, I'm taking Vancouver to win against the Washington Capitals.

Washington is fighting for a playoff spot but the team isn't doing much besides beating bottom-dwellers. The Capitals have lost six of their last eight games versus teams currently sitting in a playoff spot.

One of those defeats was a 3-2 home loss to Vancouver.

Going on the road likely won't do Washington any favours. The Caps are 17-10-5 at home and just 14-15-4 on the road.

Vancouver, meanwhile, has been as good as it gets at home. It's 21-6-4 at Rogers Arena this season.
