N.J. Ceases Citrus Bowl Betting Due to Drew Brees Connection, per Report
Purdue and LSU are playing in the Citrus Bowl on Monday at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida. New Jersey gaming directors ordered sportsbooks to suspend betting on the game because of an individual who violated the state's regulations. Drew Brees is the person in question because he is an assistant coach at Purdue. He was also an ambassador for PointsBet sportsbook since June 2021. The sports book terminated its relationship with him on December 22.
