The Pilots are unbeaten through 10 games and are ranked 9th in the United Soccer Coaches poll and 8th on the TopDrawerSoccer poll. They are the only school in NCAA Division I to be undefeated for both their men's and women's programs. Portland's 27 goals through nine games is the most in a fall season since 1999. Brandon Cambridge has the highest points on his team with 16. The team has had six different players win WCC Player of the Week awards. It's the first time they have won the award twice since the W CC changed the format.
The San Francisco Dons are 6-2-1 on the year. They lost their WCC opener to Loyola Marymount Lions. Last year, they were last in the W CC with a 2-13-0 record overall and a 0-6- 1 Wcc record. Their six wins heading into WC play were the most they had in non-conference since 2014. Goalkeeper Eric Waltz has twice earned W Cuppy Defensive Player of the Week honors.
