Nolan Arenado throws Nick Madrigal out at home

Arenado is a nine-time Gold Glove winner in all nine of his previous MLB seasons. He is favorite to win a 10th straight top fielding award this year. Arenado made a spectacular play in the first inning to prevent a run. The Cardinals beat the Cubs 8-0 at Busch Stadium. Lars Nootbaar, Tommy Edman, Yadier Molina, Jordan Montgomery and Jordan Hicks had hits. Paul Goldschmidt didn't have a hit. The game was played for the 11th time in 17 meetings. Cardinals won the game.
