The Scandinavian side have had a relatively disappointing Euro 2024 qualifying campaign, although they do have the chance of reaching next summer’s tournament via the play-offs. The outcome however is out of their hands.

Each play-off spot is allocated based on performances in the Nations League last year, and Norway's position in the standings means they need two of Israel, Finland, Ukraine and Iceland to qualify automatically for them to get a place. If they fail to make it, this will be the 12th consecutive major tournament that they have missed out on.

The Faroe Islands have picked up a measly one point from seven matches so far in Group E of Euro 2024 qualifying. Amazingly, they still have a chance of making the play-offs due to their strong showing in last year's UEFA Nations League where they picked up eight points from six games. However it would take a miracle for Faroe's to make the play-offs with countless results needed to fall in their favour.

Norway vs Faroe Islands Tips

Norway to Win & Under 3.5 Goals

For our main play of the evening we have taken a lean towards Norway winning the game and Under 3.5 goals being scored in the match. At the time of writing this is available at 11/10 with a handful of bookmakers, including bet365.

Martin Odegaard has not traveled with the squad, while Erling Haaland is not expected to start the match. Even without their star men, Norway should have the edge here and The Faroe Islands have never scored a goal against them on the four occasions they have met.

Norway can use this as a warm up for their final qualifier with Scotland next week, but we don’t think this will end up a cricket score by any means.

In the most recent European qualifying campaign the Faroe's have put up a good fight against much stronger nations. On their last outing the Czech Republic needed a late Tomas Soucek penalty to win 1-0, while they also kept the score down to 2-0 in both meetings with Poland in Group E.

Oscar Bobb Anytime Scorer

With Erling Haaland set to be named on the substitutes bench it should provide a chance for another Manchester City attacker to start the match. The 20-year-old has made two cameo appearances so far for his national side and could be handed his full debut in this international friendly.

Bobb scored plenty of goals in Premier League 2 for Manchester City’s youth side and has already made nine appearances for the first team this term for Pep Guardiola. He looks like a player with plenty of potential for the future and a game against the Faroes provides him with a chance to get his first goal for his country. Most betting sites have him priced at evens to score in Oslo, so we’re recommending taking the much bigger offering of 13/8 that BetMGM have available.
