And that’s about all she wrote from us. One hell of a week in store for the Eels - their first grand final since 2009 and a crack at ending the premiership drought.

Fantastic season from North Queensland, particularly against the backdrop of former coach Paul’s Green tragic passing late in the campaign. That’s all from me, go again tomorrow for Panthers and Rabbitohs.

Brad Arthur with some choice words on the Channel Nine panel - has been to hell and back with this team this year and endless drama throughout his nine years at Parramatta.

“It’s not about me, but I am excited. I’ve waited my life to get this. I was lucky to get a job in the NRL.

“I coached in Cairns, I’m a bush coach. I got the opportunity through my friend and Bellyache [Storm coach Craig Bellamy] gave me an opportunity... I feel like we have got a good enough team to win the competition.”

Parramatta are the first team through to the NRL grand final.

No, that’s not a typo, Eels fans. The 36-year premiership drought could finally end next Sunday after the blue and golds produced a brilliant defensive effort to hold out North Queensland.

The Eels may have scored the first try off a pass that floated “six metres forward”, but the way they withstood a mountain of pressure – and blocked out the deafening noise from 25,372 fans inside Queensland Country Bank Stadium – was sensational.

Reagan Campbell-Gillard and Shaun Lane produced some of the best footy they’ve ever played in that second half to lift the Eels. Fifteen offloads from the Eels as they barely put a foot wrong after the break - completing at around 95% having battled to get over 50% in the first half.

North Queensland will rue that one getting away, led by eight with just under 30 minutes to play, the defence on Campbell-Gillard’s second try will break their hearts. Immense efforts by Reed Mahoney - a game-high 58 tackles, and Peta Hiku, who topped the run metres with 184 out wide.

Moses joins the Channel Nine panel after an incredible game and incredible week for him.

“The whole week has been a rollercoaster. I lost my grandmother last week. We laid her to rest on Monday. I welcomed my first child [into the world] over FaceTime four hours ago. Now I get to play in a grand final next week”.
