Nuggets vs. Warriors prediction: NBA odds, pick, best bets for Thursday

An important Western Conference NBA battle takes place Thursday night at Chase Center in San Francisco as the Golden State Warriors host the Denver Nuggets.

The Warriors snapped a three-game slide in Tuesday’s 121-115 home victory over the Magic as 3.5-point favorites.

Stephen Curry lit up Orlando for 36 points, snapping a five-game run in which he did not hit the over on his scoring total.

The Nuggets have won eight of their last 10 games with the two losses coming to Oklahoma City.

Denver is fresh off a 111-93 blowout of Charlotte on Monday to easily cash as 17-point home favorites.

Nuggets’ star center Nikola Jokic has actually finished under his point total in five straight games, while scoring a total of 32 points in his past two contests.

Golden State has covered in a pair of losses to Denver this season, including in a 120-114 setback on Christmas as 7.5-point road underdogs.

In that win, Jokic knocked down all 18 free throw attempts, while Curry struggled from the floor by hitting only 3-of-13 attempts from 3-point range and scoring 18 points.

Denver is riding an 8-2 under run in its past 10 contests, while the two matchups with Golden State have finished under the total this season.

The Nuggets have been awful covering the spread on the road this season, with the league’s third-worst against the spread (ATS) record at 7-11. That might be the reason why Thursday’s line appears low for the defending champs – that and Golden State’s matching 7-11 ATS mark at home.

Although the Warriors have covered in both losses to the Nuggets this season, it’s hard to pass on Denver at this low of a road favorite price.

Riding a five-game road winning streak, look for Denver to extend it to six in the Bay Area.
