Officials express mixed reviews over DC's sports betting operation

D.C. Council is asking questions about the city's sports betting operation. The app for the GamBet D.c. app has been plagued by issues. It's the only mobile sports betting app in the District. This year, the lottery is projected to do closer to $2.1 million. An expert says early projections on tax revenues are optimistic. John Holden is an Oklahoma State Professor who studies all things sports. He says flooding the market with more competition would not be beneficial. His opinion is based on the fact that it would put a lot of regulatory burden on D.-C., which is already struggling.
