Ontario Sports Betting: OLG Launches New App as Rivals Circle and NFL Season Approaches

The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corp. has launched a new app for sports betting in Ontario. It allows players to place bets via the company’s PROLINE+ online sportsbook and a bet-builder feature for retail wagering. The app also permits players. to build a bets and generate a barcode. They can then take that bar code to one of almost 10,000 retail locations across the province to buy a PRolINE ticket.

Ontario is the only province in Canada with a legal sports betting market. OLG was the first to launch a sportsbook in the province. Its profits are used to fund education, health care and other government priorities. It has also struck official partnerships with major sports leagues, such as the NHL and NFL.

Ontario Sports Betting has launched a new app in time for the start of the NFL season. The app is available for iOS and Android devices. It's similar to rivals' but it doesn't have the retail component. There are no brick-and-mortar sportsbooks in the province and private operators can't offer sports betting through lottery retailers.
