Utah vs Oregon State Early Odds & Prediction

Some of the luster of this matchup was lost Saturday when Oregon State (3-1) fell to Washington State 38-35. Utah (4-0) remained unbeaten by getting past UCLA 14-7. The oddsmakers rate the Utah vs OSU game, which will be played at 9 p.m. ET Friday at Reser Stadium in Corvallis, as a pick’em.

Karene Reid returned an interception for a touchdown and Landen King had a TD catch for Utah, which held UCLA scoreless until there was 3:39 remaining. Oregon State’s offense struggled to contain Washington State quarterback Cameron Ward, who passed for 404 yards and accounted for five scores.

Look for Oregon State and quarterback DJ Uiagalelei to bounce back at home against a Utah team that clearly misses injured quarterback Cam Rising.

Pick: Oregon State Pk (-110)

Notre Dame vs Duke Early Odds & Prediction

A potential showdown of unbeatens was dashed when Notre Dame (4-1) lost to Ohio State 17-14 on Saturday while Duke (4-0) handled Connecticut 41-7. Despite the loss, the Fighting Irish are 6.5-point favorites in a game that will be played at 7:30 p.m. ET Saturday at Wallace Wade Stadium in Durham, N.C.

Riley Leonard passed for 248 yards and a touchdown and ran for another score to lead Duke. Notre Dame lost a heartbreaker as Ohio State’s Chip Trayanum scored the game-winning TD on a 1-yard plunge with one second left.

This is Duke’s chance to make a major statement for the second time this month after upsetting Clemson on Labor Day. Look for the Blue Devils, with ESPN’s College GameDay on campus for the first time, to give a potentially hungover Notre Dame team all it can handle.

Pick: Duke +6.5 (-110)

That’s Outta Line

Visiting Oregon is a substantial favorite over Stanford at 26.5 points. However, that line still seems a little light after the 4-0 Ducks routed Colorado 42-6 on Saturday while the Cardinal fell to 1-3 by dropping a 21-20 squeaker to Arizona.

It seems wise to jump on Oregon’s side before this line goes up.
