Panthers playing to save postseason aspirations against Tar Heels
Panthers are playing to qualify for a bowl game in 2022. They have three overall losses this season and need to win two more to make it to the postseason. Pitt plays the No. 21 UNC Tar Heels on Saturday. UNC is leading the ACC in scoring, total offense and passing yards. The Tarheels have the lowest ranked defense in the league. First-year quarterback Drake Maye is filling in for the departed Sam Howell. Coach Pat Narduzzi thinks UNC's offense is one of the top in country. He thinks his defense will have a great challenge.
Pitt's offense is one-dimensional and the defense is not very good. UNC will hand Pitt their third conference loss, winning 31-20. The game will be played in Chapel Hill at 8 p.m. on ACC Network.
