Pay talks explode as stars hit out at NRL

The players' advisory group has slammed the ARL Commission for its handling of pay talks. The collective bargaining agreement between the NRL and Rugby League Players Association is 11 days overdue. It comes after financial details of the league's offer to players were published in News Corp newspapers. The players have regularly attended CBA bargaining meetings, but not one Commissioner attended a meeting. Funding talks between NRL clubs and the CEO Andrew Abdo are also ongoing. They are expected to reach an agreement of $5 million per year above the eventual player spend. V'landys is optimistic they will reach a resolution soon.
