NRL 2023: St George Illawarra Dragons to play St Helens as part of revamped pre-season

The NRL won't take a competition game to the United States next season. The governing body is committed to playing at least one game in the US in 2024. St George Illawarra will play St Helens in their first-up match. It will be the second time St. George will have played an English team since 2011. St Helen's will take on Penrith in a World Club Challenge. They will also play the Panthers on the same weekend as the opening round of the Super League. South Sydney will face St Georges Illarra in Charity Shield. There will only be two pre-season games in which the best British team will participate.
