Pennsylvania all-state football: Here are the YAIAA players selected

Jahiem White and Sam Stoner are both YAIAA football players from York High. They made the District 3 playoffs three times together. White was named all-state for the third straight season. Stoner was all state for first time. Both will report to West Virginia next month. The other YIAIA players named to the Class 6A team were Kenny Johnson, Central York running back Juelz Goff, Dallastown wide receiver Kenny Jame Johnson and Central Yorks linebacker Domenic Grove. In Class 5A, Thomas Smyser, Spring Grove safety Andrew Osmun and New Oxford corner back Idriz Ahmetovic were named.

Mikey Bentivegna was named an all-state running back in Class 4A by Pennsylvania sports writers. It was his first time being named to an All-State team after he missed time his junior season due to a concussion. Bentivigna rushed for 2,385 yards on 244 carries, caught 27 passes for 431 yards and registered 449 return yards. He also scored 37 total touchdowns with 32 coming on the ground. Bishop McDevitt quarterback Stone Saunders and coach Jeff Weachter were named Player of the Year and Coach of Year in the Class4A for leading the Crusaders to the state title.

Thomas Smyser, Andrew Osmun and Idriz Ahmetovic were named all-state in Class 5A. It was the first all state selection for all of them. Smyster caught 59 passes for 1,170 yards and nine touchdowns for Dover. O smun was named the top defensive player in YAIAA Division I. Ah metriz intercepted four passes and took one back for a touchdown for the Colonials. Northern York junior Cole Bartram was also named to the all the state team as an athlete.
