Rating:

The Mavericks have been one of the top offensive teams in the NBA and Luka Doncic has been playing at an MVP level all season long. Dallas lost a tough road game to the best team in the NBA but this team is much improved with the trade deadline additions of P.J. Washington and Daniel Gafford. The Mavericks dominated the 76ers in their last meeting and that started with their play on the defensive end. The 76ers are still trying to find out how their offense will look without Joel Embiid and that has caused major problems for them. Tyrese Maxey has been the go-to guy with Embiid out of the lineup but that has allowed teams to load up on him and take him out of the game. The 76ers are not getting to the free-throw line as much and some roster turnover has made things even more difficult. Dallas has one of the best backcourt duos in the NBA and they have been healthy and playing extremely efficiently. P.J. Washington has added size and much needed defensive help and the Mavericks are as deep a team as they have been over the last few years. Dallas will win this game at home as the 76ers will not be able to contain Doncic and Irving and the Mavericks will have a big offensive game as a team. The 76ers have not played great defensively as of late and they do not have the offensive weapons to be able to contend with this Mavericks team. Expect another big game from Luka Doncic and for the Mavericks to cover the spread.

Prediction: Dallas Mavericks to cover

Rating:

The 76ers have had eight of their last 11 games go under due to their offensive struggles. Philadelphia has not found an offensive rhythm without Joel Embiid and have scored under 110 points in seven of their last 11 games. Dallas has been a top offensive team in the NBA and the Mavericks have been on a tear lately. Luka Doncic just got his second straight double-double and the Mavericks are rolling offensively. Dallas is also 10th in the NBA in pace and they put up 118 points in the last meeting with the 76ers. These two teams combined for just 220 points in the first matchup and the total went under by 21 points. I expect Dallas to have a good offensive game but the 76ers will continue their offensive struggles and will not score enough points to see this game hit the over.
