Prat has been riding in the U.S. since 2015. He has won the Best Apprentice Championship in France and was second-call rider for billionaire brothers Alain and Gerard Wertheimer. Prat and his wife, Manon, moved to New York to try to secure a position. Prats has ridden for 14 different trainers at the meet, three times for Brown. Last year he won a National Museum of Racing Hall of Fame for riding Zandon. His wife and children moved from California to Saratoga. They have established friends and school. The business at Sarotoga is harder than at Belmont.
