Preakness 2023 morning-line favorite Mage was the 2-1 favorite in the win pool Saturday at 6 p.m. EDT. National Treasure has been 5-2 since early afternoon, while Blazing Sevens held at 4-1.

Kentucky Derby winner Mage was the 4-5 favorite on the Preakness morning line, which was revised Friday morning after the scratch of original second choice First Mission due to tenderness in his left rear ankle.

National Treasure, the predicted second choice, is Bob Baffert's first horse in a Triple Crown race since 2021. Chad Brown conditions Blazing Sevens, the third choice in the morning-line odds. Brown trained 2022 Preakness winner Early Voting as well.

Saturday at 5:30 p.m. EDT, there was $7,447,804 in the win pool.

The Preakness is scheduled for 7:01 p.m. EDT, the 13th of 14 races on a stakes-laden Pimlico card. The National Weather Service forecast called for mostly sunny weather at the track through Saturday afternoon, with a high near 78. They forecast a cloudy early evening, with a 50 percent chance of precipitation in the evening.
