Preakness set to run in expected near-record heat as sweltering temps hit East Coast
The Preakness Stakes will be held at Pimlico Race Course on Saturday at 7:01 p.m. The forecast is for nearly 91 degrees, which is almost double the previous record of 96 degrees set in 1934. Epicenter is the favorite, followed by Early Voting, Secret Oath and Fenwick. There's no Triple Crown winner in 2022, so the trainer and owner decided not to enter a healthy winner from the Kentucky Derby. It's the first year since 2019 that fans have been allowed to watch the Preaks.
