2023 world darts champion Michael Smith got the new season of Premier League Darts underway with a win in Cardiff last week, in a strong performance in which he defeated all of the top three overall favourites to receive all five points from week one.

The Englishman won both his quarter final and semi final in final leg deciders, firstly beating the defending Premier League champion Micahel van Gerwen before then getting past the teenage sensation Luke Littler, averaging considerably lower than both of them.

Cardiff's final then saw Smith come up against the Welshman Gerwyn Price in front of his home crowd, but a strong 6-2 performance saw the 33-year-old quieten the arena and get his season off to the perfect start.

This week sees the league move to the capital of Germany, where the action will kick off with Nathan Aspinall against van Gerwen just after 7pm, which will be followed by a repeat of last week's final as Smith takes on Price, with the winner of each match meeting in the semi.

The other half of the draw sees the one everyone's talking about, Luke Littler, take on former world champion Rob Cross, while the final quarter final sees world champion Luke Humphries take on Peter Wright.
