Premier League Darts Night 2 odds, prediction, picks and best bets

The 2024 BetMGM Premier League of Darts got off to a riveting start last week with Michael “Bully Boy” Smith winning Night 1 by defeating Gerwyn “Ice Man” Price in front of his hometown crowd at Utilita Arena in Cardiff, Wales.

It was a terrific performance from Bully Boy and was notable since Smith had a down year after winning his first World Championship in 2023.

If Smith is back at his best, he’ll be right up there with Luke Humphries, Michael van Gerwen, Luke Littler and Price in their quest to win the biggest payout in the sport.

Night 2 of the Premier League gets going Thursday in Berlin, 7 p.m. in Germany, 1 p.m. ET.

You can stream the event online with Sky Sports.

Michael van Gerwen is the favorite to win the eight-man tournament in Germany, but oddsmakers see very little separating MVG (+300), Luke Humphries (+320), Luke Littler (+350) and Gerwyn Price (+450) at the top of the odds.

We’ll try to beat the favorites with two players further down the board.

Michael Smith (+700, DraftKings): This is a bit of a surprising price considering what we saw out of Bully Boy last week. Smith defeated van Gerwen, Litter and Price to win Night 1 and looked like his vintage self, and yet he’s the fifth-favorite to win in Berlin on Thursday. I understand that Smith hiccuped at the Masters over the weekend, but that shouldn’t keep people off backing him at this price or creating a rolling parlay with Smith starting with his Round 1 matchup with Price.

Peter Wright (+3500, DraftKings): Things have gone pear-shaped for Peter Wright over the last 12 months and there was a lot of scrutiny about his inclusion in the Premier League, but this number is simply too high for a world-class player who just needs to win three matches to cash this price. Wright has been the worst of the eight players in this competition in recent events but he’s a two-time world champion and is not that far removed from winning the European Championship last October.
