Premier League picks and odds Matchday 22: Back Arsenal, Aston Villa and Tottenham

The Premier League returns to action this Friday after a week off.

The pregame narrative: The title race is heating up and Arsenal can continue frontrunning with a win over Everton on Saturday. Meanwhile, Fulham look to take advantage of a floundering Chelsea side at Stamford Bridge and Manchester City play Tottenham to wrap up the action on Sunday.

Premier League picks and odds

Odds as of 1:37 p.m. ET on 01/31/2023.

Fulham vs. Chelsea: Chelsea’s season is in a death spiral, and there’s no reason to believe they’ll turn things around against a surprisingly tough Fulham side.

The Blues have won just one of their last five games (1-2-2) and have scored a grand total of three goals in those contests. They also just shipped off Jorginho — who’s worn the captain’s armband numerous times this season — to cross-city rivals Arsenal.

Fulham have dropped two straight Premier League fixtures but they won four in a row before that, including a 2-1 home win over Chelsea. Expect them to scrape out a point on Friday.

Best bet: Fulham to win or tie (+140)

Arsenal vs. Everton: There isn’t much value in backing Arsenal to win this game but we can get a favourable line by betting on the opening half.

Arsenal are 11-6-2 in the first half this season with a plus-14 goal differential while Everton are 4-7-9 with a minus-seven goal differential.

That’s pretty emblematic of the two clubs’ seasons as a whole. Everton are staring down the barrel of relegation while Arsenal are well on their way to winning the Premiership.

Best bet: Arsenal first-half ML (-114)

Leicester City vs. Aston Villa: Villa are running hot right now and we’re happy to back them to win at home with these odds. The Lions have won three of their last four Premier League fixtures (3-1-0) and have a plus-four goal differential in that span.

Leicester, meanwhile, have lost four of their past five games (0-1-4) and only scored three goals in those contests. The Foxes are also 0-3-7 on the road this season.

Best bet: Aston Villa ML (+100)

Manchester City vs. Tottenham: This game could very well decide the Premiership race assuming Arsenal take care of Everton. City are five points back of the Gunners and the latter has a game in hand.

Tottenham was up 2-0 on City a few weeks back but ended up surrendering four straight goals to lose the contest at the Etihad.

We’re expecting a stronger effort out of the Spurs at home this week. Tottenham have won three straight Premier League home fixtures against Manchester City and should be capable of at least drawing Pep Guardiola’s side on Sunday.

Best Bet: Tottenham to win or tie (+112)
