PSV prepare for the home leg of their Champions League Round of 16 clash against Borussia Dortmund having picked up back to back wins in the league after their perfect start to the season came to an end only last month.

Peter Bosz's side won each and every one of their opening 17 league games to start the season, taking them through to the back end of January with a 100% record.

Having drawn two of their last five league games, the Dutch side have won 20 of their 22 Eredivisie matches to date, leaving them 10 points clear at the top of the table, with defending champions Feyenoord situated below them in second place.

The Eindhoven side have won all 15 of their 17 home games in all competitions so far this season, including all 14 of their domestic matches, and have reached the knockout stage of the Champions League for the first time in eight years.

The 1988 European champions finished second in Group B only behind Arsenal, beating both Lens and Sevilla to a spot in the Round of 16.

Borussia Dortmund make the trip across the Dutch border on an unbeaten run that stretched to nine matches with their 1-1 draw at Wolfsburg on Saturday afternoon.

Four wins in their last six matches leaves Edin Terzic's side in fourth place in the Bundesliga table, one point better off than Leipzig but 17 points shy of league leaders Bayer Leverkusen who are still unbeaten this season.

The 1997 European champions have been impressive on the road this season, losing just one away game in the league this season, with their form away from home also playing a huge part in them finishing top of Group G in the Champions League.

Dortmund picked up six of their 11 points away from home as they finished top of what was widely considered to be the Group of Death, which also contained PSG, AC Milan and Newcastle.

PSV and Borussia Dortmund have only met before on two occasions, coming home and away in the group stage of this competitions back in 2002, in which Dortmund won 3-1 win Eindhoven before being held to a 1-1 draw on their own patch.

Despite having not reached this stage of the Champions League in eight years, PSV's formidable record this season makes them favourites for victory in the first leg of Tuesday night's first leg.

Betfred are offering a 2-1 win for PSV at 15/2, which doesn't seem a bid shout bearing in mind the Dutch side have won nine of their last 10 matches at home in all competitions, while Dortmund have only won two of their last seven on the road.
