Purdue men's basketball team is 10-0 and ranked first in the AP poll. It is only the second time the Boilermakers have been at the top of the poll, after last year's team. The NCAA tournament doesn't begin for another three months. Purdue is looking like a team that could advance to its first Final Four since 1980. The team's main players are Zach Edey and Joe Barry Carroll. They are the early season favorite to win the national player of year awards. Indiana was the last undefeated national champion in 1976. In the NCAA tournaments, top-three seeds usually win in first round.
